Three Day Cabin

cabin.jpg

In this cabin Ray worked day and night for about five years. It was built in three days from cedar logs. It worked very well to keep the wind out and there were times with the temperatures below zero.

One cold windy night

It was cold with the wind blowing about 11 o'clock at night.Ray had ice cycles hanging from his mustache and beard. An author showed up looking as if he was about frozen to the bone. His name is Peter and he wrote "The Great American Road Trip". He was so nice and put Ray's three bears on the front cover of the book. He also was a writer for the " Sunday Star Ledger" in New,Jersey. There have been a number of other writers by. Not any of them were as brave as Peter to put up with such cold temperatures and Ray.
